Privacy Policy

Under development. CodeSprint is still being built and tested and is not yet live to the public. This policy is a working draft describing how the platform is intended to handle data. It does notyet apply, and no real user data is being collected in production. A final, reviewed version will be published and dated before launch.

1. Information we collect

When you create an account we collect the details you enter: first and last name, username, email address, phone number, grade, school, and emirate (country defaults to the United Arab Emirates). As you learn, we record your progress — which lessons you complete and your quiz scores and dates. We also process basic technical information needed to run the site, such as your IP address for security and rate-limiting.

2. How we use it

We use this information to create and secure your account, show your learning progress and achievements, process premium purchases, and keep the Service reliable. We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

3. Consent and children

The platform is designed for school students, including children. Where a student is below the age of majority, registration details should be provided with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian may contact us to review, correct, or delete their child's information.

4. Sharing

We share data only where needed to run the Service: with our payment provider to process a purchase (they handle card details directly — we do not store them), and with infrastructure providers that host the platform. We may disclose information if required by law.

5. How we protect it

Passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes, never in plain text. Sign-in uses a secure, http-only session cookie so your login token is not exposed to page scripts. Data is held in a managed database with access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

6. Keeping it

We keep account and progress data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data except anything we must retain for legal or accounting reasons.

7. Your choices

You can view and update your profile details in Settings at any time. To request a copy of your data or deletion of your account, contact us through the Contact page.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the platform develops. The effective version will be dated here when the Service goes live.
